About Chicago Trip

Chicago Trip is an independent travel resource dedicated to helping you discover Chicago, from the Loop and Millennium Park to Lincoln Park, the Museum Campus, and the day trips around Illinois that make sense from Chicago.

What we do

We create in-depth, regularly updated travel guides covering downtown Chicago and its neighborhoods, day trips to Oak Park, Milwaukee and Starved Rock State Park, the city's museums and architecture tours, ticketing and reservation systems, and practical planning advice for getting around by `L` and Metra. Every article is researched thoroughly and written to give you genuine, useful advice — not generic filler content.

How we earn

Chicago Trip is funded through affiliate partnerships, primarily with GetYourGuide and Viator. When you book a tour or activity through one of our links, we earn a small commission at absolutely no extra cost to you. This income allows us to keep the site running, create new content, and maintain existing guides.

Our affiliate partnerships never influence our recommendations. We suggest activities and tours that we genuinely believe provide good value, regardless of commission rates.

Editorial independence

We are not sponsored by any tourism board, hotel chain, or tour operator. Our recommendations are entirely independent. If something is overpriced, overhyped, or not worth the trip, we will say so.
